Let me first to talk about how excellent the Superwolf album is

It's leaked. It's...amazing. No, really. It definitely requires few listens to reveal itself, but download it now, pour yrself something, settle into the beanbag chair, and you can thank me later.

There's a very strange sentimentality running through every song. The song "Blood Embrace" is probably the best song Oldham has ever written. That Barfly sample (i'm almost positive it's Barfly - can anyone corroborate?) gives me chills. I haven't been this affected by anything the 'Prince has done since the "Hope" EP. And his lyrics keep getting better.

My only small, piddling complaint is that there is a little too much Bonnie and not quite enough Matt Sweeney - but how is this being 'billed?' as Superwolf? as Bonnie Prince Billy and Matt Sweeney, or Bonnie Prince Billy featuring Matt Sweeney?

Anyway, it's really great.
