Text of Light play the DCA in Dundee on the 11th, I think.

in London?

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Friday, 3 December 2004 00:09 (twenty-one years ago)

The thread title doesn't specify London only. Can we throw this open to other locations as well?

Haibun (Begs2Differ), Friday, 3 December 2004 01:47 (twenty-one years ago)

not sure about "crunk"
but I will be drunk as shit

Haibun (Begs2Differ), Friday, 3 December 2004 01:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Nate, it was open to others already, I'm just trying to figure out where Lightning Bolt are playing.

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Friday, 3 December 2004 04:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, I guess it would be helpful if people could specify locations as well. Thanks, chaps.

o. nate (onate), Friday, 3 December 2004 05:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Apparently when Lightning Bolt play in London they will be supported by Wolf Eyes, Jackie-O Motherfucker, & Sunburned Hand of The Man. You London bastards. They're not coming to Scotland as far as I can see.

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Friday, 3 December 2004 05:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll be seeing Phoenix on Sunday. Very excited.

My own band (Canasta) is playing on December 8.

Otherwise, I can't think of anything else this month I'm going to see.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 3 December 2004 05:47 (twenty-one years ago)

amm were ok (its more abt gd or bad at this stage)-- sachiko m played with them for the first time, she spent a while trying to fit in, its always gd to watch. they had radio sounds coming from somehwere (their 'fuck you' to keith rowe?) and the 5 mins silence at the end. someone clapped after a couple of mins but everyone was smug and sat there. I knew it wz over but hoped they would play more and drag it on -- it ended up being a smug fest bah.

jerome noetinger palyed electroacoustics to these two video projectionists showing 16 mm films -- he's been working with this kind of thing for a decade but only now I got a chance to see it. needs a DVD prodcution!

did anyone see gavin bryars or lee ranaldo (it wz basically the blue humans with lee standing in for rudolph grey!)? I had a really bad flu and forgot.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 12:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah Toby, MV&EE was pretty entertaining, but I thought Taurpis Tula were superb. Heather gets right inside the music and her voice is just plain hair-raising (I'm still sporting the bouffant after a good few days). Nice and loud with plenty of soundwaves careening around, somehow I was hearing church bells ringing out the whole time. I think you'd have approved, Julio.

NickB (NickB), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)
