Anyone see this? Really enjoyed it. Great to see that Live TV footage of the Stooges in 1970 where Iggy walks across the crowd with the silver gloves on. Didn't think any Stooges film existed at all. Iggy was pretty intense during the interview bits with Bragg.

"Ah, and now he's throwing ... Peanut Butter?"

I thought Melvyn Bragg's desperate efforts to control his facial expressions were hilarious - don;t you just know that if he'd encountered Iggy / The Stooges back in the late '60's early '70's he'd have shat his neatly laundered pants and run away screaming in terror?!?

Ah, he's experienced a few 'shady' incidents, I'm fairly certain.

In entirely unrelated fashion, for legal reasons...

My sister went to the same dance academy as his daughter. Along with Emma Forbes...

i thought melvyn was the type of guy who iggy would have beaten the shit out of a few decades ago.

Iggy has always struck me as a very amiable chap.

That Iggy footage sounds like it's from a show called Midsummer Pop (also called Cincinatti Pop, I think) that was broadcast on US TV in '69. Also on the bill were Mountain, Alice Cooper, Traffic, and Grand Funk Railroad. I have videotape and it's worth checking out.
