The MF Doom track is awesome! Makes me really want to hear an album's worth of colaborations from them.

OMG DAEDALUS + DOOM HOLY FUCKNUGGETS BATMAN!

It's painfully short, circa two minutes, but Doom sounds awesome over Daedelus's lushness.

How's the Mike Ladd track?

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:23 (twenty years ago)

Pretty great, chilled out production and vocals. Not a stand out really, but tight.

I love that there's such a mishmash of guests on this. I can't wait to get home and slsk for it.

thanks for the heads up, the friends of friends album was too clubby for me but I'll check this out

p weird that this is on flying lotus' label, I generally just think that flying lotus' shit is an accessible extension of a lot of daedelus' ideas. I mean I love most of what both do so I don't really care

there's a radio thing on that site where lotus plays & talks about everyone on the label, and he says that he looked up to daedelus coming up and that daedelus approached him about doing a record.

two years pass...

Someone, someone, someone's rocking, rocking, rocking my dime...

Every now and then Spotify's suggestions spits out something so utterly perfect. What is this?

This? It's a great tune. I love when the operatic vocals kick in.

YouTube doesn't work on my work browser. (Yes I am living in 1996)

If it's Penny Loafers ft Inara George, that's the one.

I meant more... what on earth is Daedalus. Half his stuff is like weird clubby remixes of Stereolab songs, the other half is opera singers on top of riddims. What is this guy's deal? (Also, he looks like my Victorian sideburns-rocking Garage-psych ex boyfriend which is always a plus. Though I'm afeared it might be Steam Punk.)

He's not steampunk. He's just a genuine eccentric with an insane record collection. Super inventive; doesn't seem to get a lot of credit.

I loved that Long Lost album he did, some really odd stuff on that - fractured bossanova, air raid sirens, Christina Rossetti poems for lyrics

No, I mean, his look might be steampunk.

His music is all over the shop. Like, each album I sample has a completely different style, and there are about a million of them. I loved Bespoke, but Righteous Fists of Harmony, I wondered if I had accidentally picked up a completely different artist with the same name. (This happens a lot on Spotify. Don't people in bands know how to google?)

I don't even know where to start with an artist like that, but Bespoke is magic.
