It hangs together, but "Ain't Nobody Straight in L.A." becomes kind of laughable when pulled out of that context.

I just heard "I Will Survive" the other day for the first time after putting it aside for a nice long while (i.e. "I was sick of it"), and yeah, it really is that good.

RIP--"City of Angels" is one of my favorite albums ever, a real touchstone. "Ain't Nobody Straight in L.A." is indeed laughable, but in a great way, as are all the songs. "Oh I love you L.A./Pleae don't go away/If you fall into the sea/And forsake me." How could that possibly be improved upon?
