don't know if i love Lucky...but i saw him play at a blues festival once...doesn't he play organ and stuff too? am i thinking of the right lucky? anyway he wasn't too bad for that slick alligator records soul blues type stuff. buddy guy on mellow pills is pretty accurate.

Yes, he's an interesting character because he started out on drums, moved on to keys and landed on guitar all at a very early age. He was playing in the backing bands of big names when he was still a teenager. So, when still pretty young he mastered an old sound feel and basically keeps getting better. You get a lot of music for $5 or something if you buy it used. And if you like to sit on the porch and drink beer or smoke pot, it's pretty good time. Big 70s-sounding keys with a creamy southern fuzz guitar bending around through it combined with an actual ability to sing without oversinging and plenty of musical space to just soak it up.
