Back then, a friend used to do a version of this where each line was a mishearing of the chorus part...

"Take a horse to the bus stop.. Don't stop till you get enough
Take your shorts to the post office ... Don't stop till you get enough"

In our pot-fueled high school days, we swore that the Joe Jackson song "Got The Time" featured the repeated chorus "take another hit, take another hit, take another hit."

We sang along and, er, complied. :)
