hi i need some help identifying the following songs:

1) a really dancey track with the lyrics "wednesday 3am in soho, where else is a girl like me gonna go?" coupla years old...

2) i think its called "baby-doll", has lyrics like "for a good time call, 1900-babydoll". has a recorder sample. sorta girly-funky-garage band from new york.

anyone know these, im making a last minute christmas mix cd!

The first one is by Salt Pervert and is called "5am Soho" (perhaps explaining your apparent trouble with googling!) - it came out on Oxyd Records http://www.oxyd.it

no idea about the other one.

That second one might be Party of One, probably called 'Baby Doll' off their album on Fat Cat. It's a geezer singing though, sort of Geek-Albini-lite. Aren't they from the midwest? If I'm wrong, no one gets hurt. Happy pagan midwinter everyone
