I hate lists...Favourite Albums List of 2004

Since it always seems like each list that comes out sucks more than the list that came before it, I would love to hear lists (or publications) that released a laudable effort for their 2004 list. It could be their effective sleeper picks, or the way they conducted the poll, whatever...just as long as you liked it. Since someone hates every list you'll mention, don't worry about the the shame of choosing a goof.

Personally, I found TinyMixTapes list to be most reflective of my own taste, but Wired's list gave me more ideas for future listens, so either of those could be my favorite.

Oh, and if anyone cares to edify me, was the Apostle of Hustle release any good?
and, Is Nick Cave's new double worthy of being in the top 20 of anyone's list?

eh... I didn't like the Apostle of Hustle album at all, but a lot of other people were certainly praising it.

And yes, Nick Cave's new album is worthy of making the top 20. He's just not quite cool enough anymore to make the really hip lists.
