If anyone can name this song for me, I'll love you forever

I only vaguely remember this song, but I remember that it's very 60's sounding (it may actually be from the sixties) and that some of the lyrics are "and i know..that..things will get better". The melody is VERY similar to "Mary #38" by the Gris Gris if anyone is familiar with that song. Also, I think it MAY have featured the line "and i know..that..i used to be happy" or something to that extent. Sorry if this is not descriptive enough, but I figured it was worth a shot.

That sounds a little like 'Sylvia' by Pulp, off This Is Hardcore. But I may be wrong.
