How do I push a file on Soulseek?

This should be simple, but I don't know.

I want to send a file that's mired down in my upload queue to another user. They're on my user list and have uploads permitted.. I can select the file to upload, but nothing happens.

What am I missing? thanks.

I'm disappointed nobody has answered this question. I have wondered the same thing. Some twit was in my queue and messaged me and asked (not nicely either) that I start her. I said I would if she asked nicer and if she told me how I would do that. that made her mad. and she didn't tell me how I was supposed to do what she asked. so I am in the dark on this.

People aren't nice.

Yes, you're right. Some are. Sorry.

Does it not help to increase the number of simultaneous uploads you allow? (the little box to the right of the upload window?) I would think that if you have everything set so that users on your list get first dibs on your stuff (which is the default setting anyway), and if you don't have very many people uploading currently that are on your list, this should do the trick.

that might be it. adding the queued user to your list and increasing your allowed uploads would serve to start the file of the person next in your queue with preference given to any user further down the queue that is on the list. thereby starting the file of the newly added user farther down the queue.

makes sense to me. and seems obvious enough. i kept wondering why there was no 'Start File' showing up when i clicked on queued files.
