i doubt this will interest many, but i NEED to know why Björn Torske's Nedi Myra album so slavishly reproduces the cover of Pugh Rogefeldt's classic Ja, Dä ä Dä!. i just noticed this yesterday, while flipping through the stacks in search of good dinner-party music, but i can't detect any sonic commonality that would explain such deliberate mimicry. an interview with Torske sez:

... Forrige album, "Nedi Myra", gjorde stor lykke i de tusen house-hjem med sin utadvendte og generelt hjemmekoselige vibb. Det gøyale omslaget, som manipulerte trynet til Bjørn inn i et gammelt platecover med den svenske rock-killen Pugh Rogefeldt, gjorde heller ikke saken verre. Coveret er forresten ubetalelig denne gangen også. Bjørn har laget det selv, men det kommer vi tilbake til. Først: musikken.

Rough translation:

The last album, Nedi Myra, did great success in the thousand house-homes with its extroverted and generally "home-y" vibe. The funny cover, which manipulated Bjørn's face into an old record cover with the swedish rocker Pugh Rogefeldt, didn't make it worse either. The cover is priceless this time as well, by the way.
