She's been mentioned here and there, but she's never had a thread of her own.

Norwegian. Electro-pop. Very cool look, very cool voice as well. "Rollerskating" is an amazing pop album. Let's talk about it, and her, broadly, and see how many posts it is before someone mentions Richard X.

it certainly isn't as UK-friendly as Annie, somehow. there's something a bit schlocky, almost gothy about it, and I find Bertine herself slightly creepy? I'd like to hear Rollerskating though.

Prefer Sweet Injections and Anniemal than Rollerskating, "Girl like you" is wonderful. I hear Brett Anderson twangs on the new record.

She is good but her gothy schtick is not necessarily attractive.

I reckon Rollerskating is far more UK-ready than anything on Anniemal except for "Heartbeat".

If nothing else, search "Want You" and "Back Where I Belong" - simple, lovely and strangely affecting.
