Hello. I am looking for the lyrics to a song called "All Night Party" by a band called A Certain Ratio. This song is on their Graveyard and Ballroom album. Help!
Thanks
Kate

Really? Well, I thought the lyrics to that were pretty easily decipherable. I'm gonna listen to that and see if I can transcribe them. Oh I see the problem, this is the live version on Graveyard & Ballroom. Right. You should probably seek out the studio version. Okay, well I've got the studio version on now, so here goes:
As I look back
my murky past
was packed but
I know nothing I can do about it
I tried to carry some memories
but jealousy just creeps back into my mind
I work all day
I drink all night
My life is just an angry blur
As I was waiting for a fairway (fare way?) home
I saw a man get stabbed
He made no mess
I made no fuss
The all night party just goes on
and on and on and on
The all night party goes on
_____
I rather wish they'd never done this song because I think more than any other in their career it encourages the erroneous assumption that they were "just another Joy Division clone". Joy Division had no funk or jazz mixed in, people! The difference couldn't be more striking!
If anyone thinks I've missed something in these lyrics, do tell, please.
