Perhaps I'm not a 'joiner' but most music site messageboards I go to really begin to grate (even, especially, the one where I've somehow made the posts)

The Random Weirdness, Montreal and Toronto boards are pretty wild, but are way past their heyday now... especially the montrealshows.com board which has been pilfered by idiots...

"bland indie"?... uhh.. "experimental/out" is more like it. great folks if you can the discussion around to something besides label owners' new releases (and attendant butt-kissing).

More of a community messageboard than a music board, but music plays a major role. It can be good for some music stuff, but many times threads aren't treated very seriously and no one gets anything from them.

For hip-hop, I haven't found a smarter bunch than the people at www.philaflava.com/forums, it's a really informed group of heads.
