So apparently this album came out in October '04, but I just heard about it now after finding a remix of one of the songs online by Justice / Thomas Banghalter of Daft Punk. I tracked down the full-length (only available as a French import so far, it seems like). If I had known about it, it absolutely would have been in my top 3 discs of the year. It's amazing... completely fun, catchy as all hell, unique and different. How could this be so buried??
A site called Pure Groove says this: "We're loving this DFA-meets-Phoenix sounding shoutfest. And if that's not good enough, the god that is Thomas Banghalter of Daft Punk 'sound polishes' [the first single, "Skitzo Dancer"]."
(I think there's sound samples there, but my computer was bummed by the .asx formats)
(nd forgive the street team-y boner talk, I'm just psyched about this album and can't believe it's been out for like 4 months and nobody knows about it)
