fair dos. the percentage scores on the site should really be mark out of 10 shouldn't they? (needless pedantism)

i thought only games mags did percentage scores - shame it wasn't more popular (because it's so often true that "67% of this album is great" or whatever)

they started off as percentages way back when i was inlcuding the (now defunct) likes of Bang and X-Ray in the survey. they occasionally gave half-marks, so i went for percentages.

of course it makes no difference. all the mags in the survey now mark out of five, so really the scores should be out of five rather than 10. but percentages are pretty easy - everyone knows instantly what the mark is out of.

i wish the music mags would stop marking out of five because so many albums end up getting four. doesn't tell the reader much.
