I'm Gonna Buy Me A Dog (this song, on my neighbor's LP, made me want to own records; I was 8)
Auntie Grizelda
Steppin' Stone
For Pete's Sake
Zilch
Early Morning Blues and Greens
Randy Scouse Git
Pleasant Valley Sunday

Goin' Down

I might have taken "Zor and Zam" (Mickey at his Grace Slick-est), but that's a pretty recent discovery. All of the above 10 changed my childhood (including "Zilch.")

Isn't "Early Morning..." a GREAT song?

I have the feeling 'Headquarters' is going to be well-represented.

Would you rather get Monkee POX instead of Chicken POX?

Randy Scouse Git x 10

Blount is 90% correct. I would replace "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You" with "The Girl I Knew Somewhere" but otherwise that's what I would pick.

Every song listed so far is genius.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 12 January 2005 22:44 (twenty years ago)

Narrowing to 10 is insanely difficult for me.

1. Randy Scouse Git
2. All of Your Toys
3. Daydream Believer
4. Daily Nightly
5. What Am I Doin' Hangin' Round
6. You and I
7. Porpoise Song
8. As We Go Along
9. Hold On Girl
10. Good Clean Fun

I'm gonna regret not including: I Won't Be the Same Without Her, Long Title: Do I Have to Do This All Over Again, Zor and Zam, Tell Me Love, Mommy and Daddy, Looking For the Good Times, Don't Call on Me, Words.

Eight of the ten chosen from the first two albums! About as far removed from mine as possible. :)
