Up for streaming on 6Music currently is that 'My Top 10' from 1984 with Morrissey I was going on about a while ago.

Weird listening to it again. It's funny and sad how happy
and generous-spirited he was then. The Albert Finney thing.

There are also ones from Curtis Mayfield and Debbie Harry. Oh, and Chaka Khan I now see.

Alanis?

Miles Finch, Thursday, 13 January 2005 13:04 (twenty years ago)

Sorry - Miles's joke refers to that fact that it said 'Morrisset' in the title a minute ago. I tried to change it with my moderator privileges before anyone replied (to make it searchable and all that) but he snuck in there too quickly.

Okay, how do I get this to play?
WinAmp doesn't seem to want to play it.

It plays in the BBC radio player on the page. Unsure if you require a particular plugin.

there's a little freeware app called realAlternative that lets you play realaudio/realmedia files without installing realplayer on your machine....

Morrissey's picks are indeed terrific. When I first heard that show, aged about 15, from a bootleg tape I got off a mail-order Smiths obsessive emporium, I set about buying as many of the records as I could. Good old Old Gold 7" reissues. Though my mum already had the Francoise Hardy.

-- timmy yuro - adding insult to injury

= Timi Yuro - Insult To Injury

Everyone should listen to Timi Yuro more.

Oh if we're doing that, then...
the rolling stones - down the road apiece

It's pretty hard to think of three people I'd rather share a meal with than these three.
