Sure a mixtape about the redeeming quality of music in general is easy, but what about one specifically about mixtapes?

If I remember correctly doesn't Hue Pooh talk about mixtapes in this song, though? And isn't the demo actually something he's sending to the girl to win her over? Okay, it's a tentative relationship at best.

There's a song about mix tapes on the Avenue Q soundtrack. It sounds anachronistic to me now that CDRs are much more common.

Sigh. I am getting old, and I miss the difficulty of getting side A to more or less exactly 45 minutes so that you could flip it at the end.

I often used short songs on the end of sides--"Girlfriend in a Coma" and the Beatles "Her Majesty" went on more tapes than they should have just because they would fill the remaining mibute or two.
