Alec Bathgate's New One

Just poking around Smoke CDs and seeing what's new and low and behold, something from Alec Bathgate. The samples sound okay, but any other opinions? I've lost interest in both the Tall Dwarfs and Mr. Knox. Gold Lame was actually pretty good.

!!!!

I'm a big fan of Gold Lame. I'll check out the sound samples when I get off work. Where can I find this (a link would be super)?

Sorry about that. Here you go: http://www.smokecds.com/cd/36320?osCsid=b7a771f1f2745e9976cfcde9d9347458

It's not out on Flying Nun as you'll notice. But then, they ceased being anything important years ago. You can relive the glory days with 2 DVDs of Flying Nun videos, though.

it's on lil chief which is the best label in new zealand now, mainly only cause they release the brunettes' records. they also released the shaft record.

i don't know those labels but yeah the edmund cake record was fab and so are the nudie suits. tokey tones were ok if a bit too flaming lips on the more polished cd. bressa creeting cake was the last good record flying nun released. that was a long time ago.
