You make being in a band sound like working in a call centre.

...would be more likely. Wait, no, sorry, that's unfair. There's only one asshole in your band. ;-)

The Clash story goes like this:I'm talking to my little punque roque friend, who at the time was 20. I say to her, "hey, Joe Strummer is doing an instore at Tower." My friend says, "Who's Joe Strummer?"I say, "He's on your shirt."
My husband was management at this Tower location so we met Joe Strummer and he gave us a Canadian flag towel. Not that that has anything to do with anything. But it's a pretty cool towel.

This statement is the single, universal truth of bands.

About a month ago, our guitar player (who plays bass in another band) decided to finally get rid of his amp and plans to buy a new, nicer one, which he does not want to be our band's bass amp. Not only is our bass player insisting that he is not going to buy one (we are going on tour in less than a MONTH), but he is upset that our guitar player didn't consider the band situtation in getting rid of the amp.

I'd say you should Pete Best him but judging from the NME and DiS boards, bassists are In Demand.
