So Low have a documentary? Why?

I enjoy the band a lot, their cover of "Blue eyed devil" is one of my favorite songs in the universe; but why one Earth would you want to watch a Low documentary? What can possibly happen?

"We like to have some tea before the show."

(cut to a few clips of the show and then after)

"Usually we like to take a nap before the next show."

Am I wrong? Are Low smashing beer bottles and getting in fist fights with fans after the show? Any coke addled ego driven melt downs?

I'd watch the DVD if there was a guaranteed glimpse of their magical mormon underwear.

OK, so we got the Mormon thing, the boring thing - anyone want to mention the slow thing so we can get all the stereotypes out of the way before 2 PM EST?

I bet the movie is all shot in slow motion!

There, David - just under the wire.

You had 9 minutes, dood. Nice job, tho.

The documentary should have been hours-long, real-time footage of Low sleeping on Ned's floor. Very Warholian.

If we're going on stereotypes of music to people, don't include me because as stated above, I don't find their music boring. At all.

I've read interviews with them and they seem like nice, stable people. BO-RING.

(in which case, the title of the doc would have to be changed)

maybe the doc maker thought nice, stable people in rock was enough of a hook?

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 4 February 2005 19:02 (twenty-one years ago)

i mean, admit it, that is kind of strange!

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 4 February 2005 19:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Only if they really play it up, and have clips where they help old ladies cross the street

David Allen (David Allen), Friday, 4 February 2005 19:04 (twenty-one years ago)

it's pretty boring... lots of shots with their kid/nanny. watched it the other day. low-in-europe.com

the dvd that came with last year's box showed them to be slightly nicer than most people, but a good deal funnier.

dan (dan), Friday, 4 February 2005 19:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Last night Alan made it sound like it's partly about them dealing with anti-American feeling in Europe, early '02, around the time Colin Powell fibbed at the UN.

Didn't Zak Sally quit the band? Why is he still playing with them?

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 4 February 2005 19:26 (twenty-one years ago)

how dare you question the integrity of the Bush administration Morby!

Shakey Mo Collier, Friday, 4 February 2005 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

He quit them for a few weeks, but I'm glad he changed his mind. Haven't seen the new doc, but I panned "Closer Than That" (2002).
