I would SOOOOOO watch the History channel if that was true, but no. Anyway I think the bassist wrote all the songs. I'm pretty sure he's the history buff.

Indeed you are correct, Steve Harris, one of the finest bassists in all of metal. The bass is what MADE Maiden.

ps Dickinson wrote lyrics too, namely "The Duellists," "Revelations" and other great songs
