I'm going to start with Phil Collins' "One More Night." For example, next in the list could be "Two Sevens Clash" by Culture. Now someone else picks a song whose title begins with the number three, and so on. Let's see how high we can count!

"54-46 Was My Number", Maytals

I know the title is hyphenated that way; therefore, the "46" by itself is admissable. (And can be used again if we're stuck on 54!)

Quite right, Pedant! Wasn't thinking.

God, a list of songs in chronological order would be boring beyond belief.

"67" King's X
yeah, I know, but hey..

Steve Gertz (sgertz), Friday, 4 March 2005 11:27 (twenty years ago)

Myonga von B -- that's a pretty impressive run, but Keith Rowe of AMM did a track called '73 on his first solo album, which would be preferable to the Beethoven. Of course, I guess I could have posted that myself if I'd looked at this thread as it lay fallow over the past month.

-- Dr Benway

Appreciate the info, Doc! I was challenging myself not to take the easy route and rely on AMG, and the Beethoven was (& is) the only thing I could think of. (Still haven't heard AMM, I confess.) Probably coulda done better on 75 & 76, but I thought the Kaleidoscope title was kinda cute.

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 4 March 2005 22:15 (twenty years ago)

Does 101 Damnations by Carter USM count, since it's an album, not a song? (I'll bagsy "The Taking of Pelham 123" off that album when that number comes round)

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 4 March 2005 22:21 (twenty years ago)
