i'm going to see 65daysofstatic on wednesday
and next week i'm going to see hood, the silent league, hal and the magic numbers

I'm also trying to work out if i should go and see one of my favourite bands perform at their rehersal room. the catch is that it's in the middle of nowhere, and i can only get there with a lift from the band or another fan, who i don't know. and none of my friends will go with me :(

Sadly, i don't get into London until Thursday morning. I was going to sheepishly suggest a FAP for the following Saturday (th 26th), but have been advised by members of the `Joke entourage to "keep the 26th open" (a third gig?) So, stand by.

there is a rumour that i for the first time in 12 months will venture beyond my 4 walls i call home to see the glorious Go! Team in bristol in a couple of weeks.
with the memory of the ILM declaration that seeing the band live will kill the album for me ..

i realise i have been warned .. but i will still take up the challenge ..

i saw Nicolette the other night. some of her new stuff sounds pretty cool. the Swiss support act Electric Banket had a couple of nice tunes too, esp. 'Drive Your Car'.

Julio, Paul Hession was on Ben Watson's Resonance show yesterday lunchtime and they played a chunk of his performane w/ Jarworzyn from Tuesday night. Awesome stuff, especially given the fact that SJ has apparently hardly touched his guitar recently.

Anyone been to see the Christian Marclay exhibition at the Barbican yet? Saw 'Guitar Drag' at the Hayward before, I'd say I'm pretty darn interested in checking out the rest of his doings too.

Nick he is starting to gig again - he did a gig late last year, supporting noxagt (the first time they played together in five years) but then another one with wilkinson, simon fell and hession. The noxagt thing was prob one of my fave gigs from last year.

I'm planning to go to the marclay exhibition but don't know when that's gonna happen. saw him improvising with beresford abt 18 months ago.

Yeah, I wanted to see Noxagt yer bugger! That was with Khanate too right? Will *maybe* hit the Barbie on March 1st, cos I'm up there to see Slint. Actually Julio, I might have a spare ticket for that because my regular gig-buddy is having new-father type crises. Can't say for sure until next week, but can let you know if you like. Not really fussed about the money or anything.

oh this was good, unfortunately had to sit through some awful support; a 'performance art' act who fucked off when ascension got going in this pub.

There was dancing, there was laughter and someone screamed something about MICHAEL JACKSON while ascension played AND the cpl sitting near me were babbling loudly towards the ned of the set. Obvious differences from when tony irving used to drum with them but they still improvised themselves to some lurvely ROCK.
