just got it in the mail today and on the box is says it's from the Record Plant in NYC and that it was used to master a Color Me Badd song!!!
So...am I a monster for recording over this lost classic with my shitty post-punk band?

i'm confused about the mastering thing, because they don't master on 2-inch, do they? but if there's some color me badd music on the tape, i believe your ethical obligation is to let it be and record not over it but along with it. make it part of your shitty post-punk world.

Quantegy is currently not producing tape...hopefully they will find investors....people do master to 2 inch, sometimes before then mastering digitally.....
Yeah, this is bizarre.....I'm thinking a Color Me Badd/Maps of Norway split 7 inch would be crucial.

I looked on allmusic and couldn't find this song on any of their albums...is it possible i have an unreleased Color Me Badd song? Allmusic won't let me on the songs tab without signing up...could some one check?
The song is called "We Can Do Tha' Nasty" according to the box. (tha is how the is spelled)
