DC Venues -- Suggestions?

I'm from there, but it's been a while.

We were supposed to play IOTA in Arlington, VA, but it fell through. We need another show down there. I know Black Cat and 9:30, both are unlikely at this point. Galaxy Hut we've played and like, but it's too small.

Are there any other good venues I don't know about?

You could try DC9, Velvet Lounge, or the Black Cat's backstage,

Try the "Warehouse Next Door." It's located near the new Convention Center downtown.

The Half Moon Barbeque in Silver Spring is a small location that books roots and blues bands.

Would prefer a rock/indie club to a roots/blues club, but I will check those out.

The "warehouse" is rock/indie.

The name of my band is American Altitude.

or www.americanaltitude.com

Politics and Prose, an old haunt of mine, carries our CD (though I think they might be out of them right now).

I'll post all tour dates as soon as they're finalized (which will hopefully be VERY soon)

If you're playing DC, you may want to book a show at the Ottobar in Baltimore (or somewhere similar). Not too bad a drive from one to the other.

and the ottobar crowd is typically much more enjoyable than any DC has to offer. sad but true.

there's also jammin' java out in vienna, va, though i think it's a little folkier than you might want...

Ottobar Liebert?

I just looked at their site. Maybe we can get on the Lungfish bill ...

try the talking head club in baltimore. it's the old location of the ottobar, you might have better luck/less problems with the booking there.
