Gmail-based mix project.

In the vein of the ILMiXor mixes, I want to do a mix project of the same sort. A communal Gmail account to which MP3s may be mailed and discussions may exist, etc. There are a couple of minor variations, however:

1.) It's open to anyone who wants to send a track. You don't gotsta be on no list, and if you don't have to contribute if you don't want to. Obviously, the QC employee in me is screaming that this'll make it worse, but it's an experiment. Let's give it the benefit of the doubt.

2.) Once an 80-minute mix is complete, it will be available on an as-yet-named blog as a torrent. This will mean we'll need MUCH less in the way of server space, which is always handy.

3.) Due to the speed at which such mixes will (hopefully) be completed, there will be multiple themes available at any given time, making it easier to pick and choose what ones you want to be involved in. There'll ideally be very broad AND very specific themes at any point in time.

If you're interested, hit me with an e-mail, magacid at gmail. I'll give you the username and password to the gmail account I've started for this little project.

Also, I suppose I should probably introduce myself. I'm Will, a rather long-time lurker, first-time poster around these here parts. I'm incredibly impressed by the signal-to-noise ratio you've kept here over the past few months (that I've been reading, at least). The last record I bought was Suicide's S/T and the last pair of socks I bought were 100% cotton black socks.

I hope to hear from you soon, via answer or via email. Thanks for reading this!

we had an open gmail account briefly but they shut it down due to 'irregular activity' - lots of people logging into the same account from different places is obviously problematic. good luck tho.

although, if you do want to mail tracks to my gmail, by all means, go for it!
