I used to run on the treadmill to Sehnsucht...

Un investigador del siglo XXI (AaronHz), Monday, 14 February 2005 12:21 (twenty-one years ago)

They do I think so THEY DO. Great song.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 14 February 2005 12:22 (twenty-one years ago)

THere's few songs I utterly hate, this is one of'em. :-( Sorry.

stevie nixed (stevie nixed), Monday, 14 February 2005 12:50 (twenty-one years ago)

is this the song that was a hit like three months ago? they flirt with choruses so catchy that they're almost fascism. and they smirk in OTT cultural imagery. i think that they're quite likeable.

Jay-Kid (Jay-Kid), Monday, 14 February 2005 15:14 (twenty-one years ago)

They make their point pretty well, which is odd for now.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 14 February 2005 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

One chorus is

We're all living in Amerika
Coca Cola
Wonderbra

In the video, they're all made up to look horridly obese in white leisure suits

iang, Monday, 14 February 2005 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

white leisure suits? they're on the moon! (having a fun time, i'll give you that)

willem (willem), Monday, 14 February 2005 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe I'm confusing it with another video. But there IS a white leaisure suit fat guy vid.

iang, Monday, 14 February 2005 16:11 (twenty-one years ago)

why did i sell my copy of Sehnsuct a couple years ago?

latebloomer: HE WHOM DUELS THE DRAFGON IN ENDLESS DANCE (latebloomer), Monday, 14 February 2005 16:14 (twenty-one years ago)

What ever happened to that Blackstrobe remix?

Telephonething, Monday, 14 February 2005 16:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Getting released in two weeks' time!

JoB (JoB), Monday, 14 February 2005 17:11 (twenty-one years ago)

The video for this song is pretty wonderful. Visually, everything.

dan. (dan.), Monday, 14 February 2005 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

made up to look horridly obese

Aren't most of them reasonably portly to begin with?

Sasha (sgh), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 01:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Good Lord, no. The keyboard player is wiry, the guitar players and drummer have Thunder Bodies.

Til, the lead singer, could compete in a world bodybuilder's comp.

Between all of them, there's about 0.5% total body fat.

iang, Tuesday, 15 February 2005 08:02 (twenty-one years ago)

This is not a love song.

Jacob (Jacob), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 10:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Portly no, homoerotic yes.

Jacob (Jacob), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 10:04 (twenty-one years ago)

three years pass...

'We're all living in Amerika
Coca Cola
Sometimes War'

not as genius as the Wonderbra line, but still..

Billy Dods, Monday, 14 July 2008 10:31 (seventeen years ago)

It's the sneer with which "sometimes . . war" is delivered that makes it such a killer. Classic track, classic album.

Soukesian, Monday, 14 July 2008 17:26 (seventeen years ago)

OMG this song is amazing / hilarious. People do understand that they're not completely serious I hope? I've been waiting patiently (ever since seeing that live DVD) for Rammstein to ever play in the USA again, but it's not looking good.
