Albums that when you listen to them whilst walking along you feel like you're in your very own music video.

Metro Area

Jedmond (Jedmond), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Metro Area - slinky, and spacious enough to let some reality in.

Jedmond (Jedmond), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 14:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha I feel like this to all albums ever, and sometimes when I'm not paying attention lip-sync along really obviously.

"Die Another Day" by Madonna was this morning's soundtrack.

The Lex (The Lex), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Bizzaro by the Wedding Present - specifically, i feel like i am an extended opening/credits sequence to a US college movie, in which everyone else is moving double speed and i'm just strolling around campus.

I felt that way just a few minutes ago, walking down the street listening to The Sleepy Jackson's "Vampire Racecourse". Wierd.

UNKLE "Lonely Souls". Most especially walking unlit streets on cold nights.

Bowie's "It Ain't Easy". Like I'm at the end of a coming-of-age movie, having learned life's hard lessons.
Several of the Go! Team's songs, especially "Junior Kickstart".
Primal Scream's "MBV Arkestra" makes me feel like I'm in a music video much more evil that "Come to Daddy".

Bimble... (Bimble...), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 02:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Come to think of it, wasn't there a woman walking along the street in the Unfinished Sympathy video anyway?

Bimble... (Bimble...), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 02:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Anytime I'm listening to music I really like it kind of makes me feel like I'm not really there and like I'm in an alternative reality. Like I'm in some kind of performance and I'm not really in my right state of mind.

My parole officer doesn't buy that though.

Joy Division, "Decades"

Especially late at night, when you have your headphones turned way up, and you're walking alone through a crowd of obnoxious people.
