Eisley -- Am I Crazy or Is This GOOD?

I just got a copy of this Eisley CD, Room Noises, for review, and I really, really, really, really like it.

They've been on WB soundtracks or something. And they had a single last year, or the year before. But that's pretty much all I know.

All of the songs are shorter than 4 minutes and longer than 3. It's so incredibly pop-on-purpose, but I'm loving every second of it. The song "I Wasn't Prepared," in particular, is just gorgeous.

Am I caaaarazy!?

Picked the Eisley up last week and can't stop playing it either. Vocally reminds of Cardigans' Nina Persson and Sixpence's Leigh Nash with superb 3-part harmonies and that magic jangle familiar from The Sundays to Crowded House. Very interesting lyrics to boot.
The kids are (indeed) all right!

No, you're not crazy. They could use some guidance lyrically, but they have great potential.

I dont know the degree to which this matters, but they are totally a Christian rock band.

Also, at least 50% of the people posting to this thread are spammers.

Another hometown band I'd throw in the RockBand DeathCamp along with the Polyphonic Spree.

I'd urge them to Get One New Idea, but the band members do have a mean age of around 17... In fact I I'll give them a last minute pardon on those grounds.

one month passes...
I'm listening to them on myspace (they're at number 9 on the myspace charts for most-played). I like it. Scott would probably call this girly music. The vocals remind me slightly of The Gathering.
