Hey another meaningless YLT title

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:08 (twenty years ago)

Barbara Manning already has a singles comp (on Innerstate Records, I think) - it's the good stuff.

I'm guessing H.P. Zinker.

(Andrew, stop that.)

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:08 (twenty years ago)

Why?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:09 (twenty years ago)

(Because your mama.)

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:16 (twenty years ago)

I'd like to say Chavez (given they just opened for GBV), but I don't know how many singles they have.

Seward Family - does this mean more Bunnybrains?!?!?

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:33 (twenty years ago)

chavez could fit their entire discography on 2cds.

miccio (miccio), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:51 (twenty years ago)

i'd buy it if I didn't already have the two albums and pentagram ring (ok i sold back everything but ride the fader but I kept the good songs)

miccio (miccio), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:51 (twenty years ago)

Well, yeah, but if there's anything out there aside from the Pentagram Ring EP that's not on either album (which I'm pretty sure ain't the case), I wouldn't mind seeing it collected.

H.P. Zinker it is, then.

[xpost!] Ha - I just BOUGHT both Chavez albums a couple weeks ago after having sold Ride the Fader (in that really annoying cardboard slipcase) & the EP way back when times were tough.

Bailter Space???

Huk-L, Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:57 (twenty years ago)

Your need for crack wasn't THAT bad, surely David.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:58 (twenty years ago)

Dude, you don't know!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 14:59 (twenty years ago)

RUN ON DEELUX RE-ISSUE PROGRAM STAT! (Even if their shit is still in print - I don't care!)

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 16:09 (twenty years ago)

I saw them live once in D.C.; boring/unimpressive except for A. Licht, of whom I thought at the time "I could really go for a solo record of just this guy, forget the others." Little did I know then he'd done a lot of solo stuff, none of which I've gotten around to hearing.

Raymond Cummings (Raymond Cummings), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 16:16 (twenty years ago)

Actually, a Pavement greatest hits record makes a lot of sense. Maybe it's an EP of rarities or something.

Miss Delicious, Wednesday, 16 February 2005 17:29 (twenty years ago)

Maybe they can't mention the name yet because the artist in question doesn't realize they're a former artist.

j/k... my money's on JSBX.

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 17:37 (twenty years ago)

Bell Bottoms-uh!

ng, Wednesday, 16 February 2005 18:04 (twenty years ago)

I hope it's The Frogs. Or Railroad Jerk

Jason J, Wednesday, 16 February 2005 18:08 (twenty years ago)

JSBX never had an EP, though, did they?

I'm hoping for TFUL282--maybe something with "Admonishing the Bishops," "The Funeral Pudding" and all those singles.

Douglas (Douglas), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 18:11 (twenty years ago)

helium's EPs and singles are OOP, so that would make even more sense.

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 18:19 (twenty years ago)

yeah, especially since matador dropped mary timony... oh wait!

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 18:20 (twenty years ago)

here is the tful282 comp (greatest hits up through 1995), available from JOS [also looks like they found some of that OOP VHS]

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 18:22 (twenty years ago)

i hope it's the mighty SHAMS who got back together for a couple of shows late last year. a singles comp would be tough, though. like one song ... still, i want more! MORE!
