They're playing here the same night and I've never seen either. I'll hate myself either way, but help me alleviate the guilt of missing one over the other.

I doubt they're as good as they were in their heyday (bizarro/seamonsters tours) but I would still wholeheartedly endorse TWP
s live show... but then much as I like him, I'm not the world's biggest Dizzee fan anyway, so take that however you choose

I saw Gedge in Cinerama last year and had total respect for the guy. I mean it doesn't look like he's making a million bucks doing what he does (looking at the size of the venue he was in an his stage in his career) but he was still doing and looked to be doing it because he ENJOYED it. (same vibe I got from watching a few Frank Black gigs in the years prior to the Pixies regrouping).

after the gig he stepped off the stage and parked himself behind the merch table. put on a good show, face time with the fans, i imagine the Weddoes might not be quite the same given they probably have a bit more of an audience but i'd go with the Wedding Present. nothing against Dizzee but at least with my prior experience I would expect to enjoy the WP show (which I may have to look into being in Montreal myself).

o man, come on. it's gotta be gedge.

unless dizzee does a cover of "kennedy". now that i'd pay a lot of money to see.

I've seen both -- at this stage I'd want to see Dizzee far more, but seeing a new version of the Weddoes would be enjoyable nonetheless.

I've seen the Wedding Present about seven times, and it's always been amazing.

Dizzee Rascal is hard enough to listen on record. Why would you subject yourself to him in a live capacity? Besides, live hip hop rarely delivers.

i'm still imagining the dizzee version of "kennedy". it's kept me happy all day.
