I thought that's what interns and free t-shirts/caps were for.

I've been to plenty of tech conferences where people did much more embarrassing and effective shit than this. Plus, $750? Interns are free.

Haha, can't *really* blame them for trying to help finance a plane ticket down there (I'm assuming that's the reason behind that).

I've always wondered how smaller unsigned bands are able to pay their way to SXSW, considering the air fare and accomodations for all band members.
