It's the playground chant. "I got a boyfriend / You got a girlfriend / Maybe we can be friends". J-Lo making like a low- maintenance Blu Cantrell, Ja Rule pacing himself quite nicely. Ethan, as usual (most of the time), is on the money.

two months pass...
Are you guys crazy? This song is terrible. J. Lo can't sing and Ja Rule needs to stop trying to sing and write songs, he's become more of a pop artist than a rapper. The song has cliched, boring lyrics, just the same ol' same ol' with Jennifer sounding flat as hell, and Ja Rule coming in with that "girlfriend/boyfriend" crap just makes it even worse. And they shouldn't be biting Bad Boy's beats either. Both of them need to retire fast. Ja Rule is no R&B songwriter, and J Lo is no singer. I will admit that the line "it...must...be the ass" gets caught in my head sometimes, but that one line isn't enough to redeem this garbage. This is pop music claiming to be urban at its worst.

mike, what's not 'urban' about this song?? i hear this jacking out of cars daily. ethan, you should have put this on "stuff i was into before everybody else"

if you listen to the lyrics it's like a dozen black roses to puff daddy, it's insane. i'm surprised ja rule still has all his fingers on.

Ja Rule is fucking sweet. Oh, and it's not "urban" because it's not hardcore, yo. people in the inner cities don't fall in love, dontcha know.
