So I love love love love love "Contort Yourself" and the little bits of James Chance stuff off'n NY No Wave, but can't find anything else available for thee downloading. However, Amazon.uk has both of them on one disc, and I've been looking for something else to order when I drop a few bucks on In The City. Is this worth a blind buy?

it's a totally different verson of 'contort yourself' on 'buy' and one which i prefer. i think 'buy' is the better album but 'off white' is worth the price of admission for stella rico / lydia lunch's phone sex alone.

i guess i'm the only one who thinks this dude is totally overrated. Not bad, per se - I dig the Buy The...record OK, and "Almost Black" is a nice way to close out a mixtape, but OH so schticky...so what if he was 'first' (anyway he wasn't but that's another thread)? Schtick is schtick.

well yeah, schtick is schtick, but Buy totally rocks. I really didn't have any use for that 'box set' that came out though. How much do you really need? I have Buy and Off White and that's enough for me. Great records tho.
