Blessing in disguise, maybe.

(Sorry.)

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 18 February 2005 17:27 (twenty years ago)

(I've never even heard them!)

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 18 February 2005 17:27 (twenty years ago)

You nonshoegazer, get to it.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 18 February 2005 17:34 (twenty years ago)

They had 3 or 4 votes in Pazz & Jop I believe.

I first thought your subject header was about MIA.

steve-k, Friday, 18 February 2005 17:36 (twenty years ago)

Uh, that was kinda the point!

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 18 February 2005 17:38 (twenty years ago)

What sample is actually causing the hold-up? Or is this just an excuse?

hiphopster8 (hiphopster8), Friday, 18 February 2005 17:39 (twenty years ago)

I think the thing to blame (in this thread) is the FALSETTO.

a ridiculous "hip-ster" from Sonic Boom in Seattle claims Jay-Z bought the rights to the album and that's delayed the release.

what's up the the fucking idiots at Sonic Boom anyway? Do you have to have greasy, straight black hair, tight fitting ironic rock tee and lowtop chuck taylors (black of course) to work there? I guess that's for a different thread though.

So you didn't misplace "Faded Seaside Glamour" by the Delays. Oh, now I get it. Sorry.

I'm waiting for the M.I.A. album whenever it finally comes out.

x-post, haha, yeah, they are pretty predictable in their uniform and tastes, but a fair number of them are pretty nice guys.

Scott CE (Scott CE), Friday, 18 February 2005 18:05 (twenty years ago)

"Threw my LEGO in the lake" could be an M.I.A. lyric. Or maybe not.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 18 February 2005 18:57 (twenty years ago)
