deutsche TanzPartei!

...or "german dance party" as filtered through babelfish.

anyway, i've got this idea to dj a party playing only stuff that is german/bavarian in nature (the lyrics don't have to be in german but it's preferred that the bands/artists are). so what would you recommend, ILM? surely there's some great teutonic party jams that i'm missing, but here's a sampler of what i've got so far:

nena - 99 luftballoons
wir sind helden - guten tag
kraftwerk - radio-activity
falco - rock me amadeus
modo - eins zwei polizei
DAF - liebe auf der ersten blick
trio - da da da

anything dance/pop with a deutsche bent, basically. sie gehen!

are you looking for only older, more recognized stuff? if newer, less universally known stuff is okay, go with like... anything on bpitch control. and as far as kraftwerk goes, isn't radioactivity a bit... slow for a bavarian freakfest? i say go with man machine (but i'm partial to that album).

Will M. (Will M.), Wednesday, 23 February 2005 06:12 (twenty years ago)

new stuff's fine, too (kompakt, et al)

i'd imagine at such a party there'd be room for more than one kraftwerk song anyhow ;)

The Charlie Clouser remix of RAMMS+EIN doing "Stripped" is awesome, and I use that word in a very literal sense.
