getting better all the time! (these threads as well as pistepirkko love, i mean :)
though it must've been at least two or three years since i heard anything new by pistepirkko myself.
some of their pieces are just incredibly catchy inna loved-up-beat-band-kinda-old-flying-nun-stuff sorta way.

I love Pistepirkko! I drank a beer with a member of the band after a show a bzillion years ago. They're named after a kind of ladybug, right?

i only know three albums: big lupu, the wonderfully quirky debut. eleven an album i couldn't stop listening to after it just came out. a bit more dark than usual, great, erm, nordic atmosphere. and their last, rally of love. on their website you can download the demos for what became eleven...

I'd really like to hear these guys again, I'll give it a try. I remember finding a 7" single or two of them at the radio station I DJ'd at eons ago and taping and quite liking it. Do they not have anything out on CD?

when my Finnish (a clue there perhaps!) wife was 6 months pregnant with our soon to be firstborn, this was the band we trekked to Reading festival in 96 to go see, and they were totally worth it.
