He says my songs are too deep and gloomy, He wishes that I could be more like Jenny Toomey Just give me my Joni, My Nick, Neil, and Bob You can keep your Tsunami, your Slant 6 and Smog
Whats the story? He says Whats the news? He says the Silver Jewsis Heavenly hangup, is getting me down and its making me wonder, why he's hangin around
Cause I don't fit into his indie scene, Huggy Bear and Helium and Half-Japanese Sebadoh and Sentridoh and Superchunk and I don't know Doug and Lou and Calvin too and Kim and Kim and Kim and Kim
Yeah I'm stuck in the past and he's stuck on his four track but I can't get through to his one track mind Play and Record and Major Chord and maybe I will win his heart thistime yeah maybe I'll win his heart this time

um, I was (am) in Chicago, nader. actually the Archers thing is just a personal distaste; i really didn't care for them. I am sure that at least that first album did get some play at my station. But yeah, we were a pretty pretentious crew, it must be said. Lotta obscurantism, lotta 7" singles, that kind of thing...

So, yeah. Don't forget Ditch Witch, the Revelators, and Molotov Grasshopper, I guess.

Lest I forget: Sebadoh, Polvo, Unwound (and yes, a lot of 7" singles I can't possibly recall). Air Miami, Jawbox, Stereolab,
