wow. i haven't thought about that song in years. i don't think there's a better track to battle over.

Who was the first person to use the line that they use for the chorus? Or is it like a common saying i'm not aware of? I know Ice Cube says "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6" on death certificate. I think I'm gonna listen to that album now.

PS: yeah this track is ace btw.

my favorite line: "beef starts with the shove then ends with the shovel." did east flatbush proj. ever do anything else or what happened to them?

i love the way the snare sounds like a ping pong ball going back and forth.

There was another 12" by EFB, 'Head to Head', but I can't say that it was as good, as tb12...

hm, i'll check it out, thanks. looks like they're just a one-hit wonder.

There was also a 12" around 1999/2000 called "Everything We Spit is Hard"...

Cocaine Blunts called it the best one-off beat ever.

Determining what makes something "one-off" may ruin the fun of the comment, but it's pretty dead on.

WHO WANTS TO BATTLE ME RIGHT NOW

Whiney G. Weingarten, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 06:32 (eighteen years ago)

do people still battle?

i mean, i hope they do, but i haven't witnessed one since, like, 2002. damn.
