I step away from my desk. Come back, pick up my phone. "Oh, one missed call. I'll just check my voicemail-"

Phone rings.

Friend: "I'm calling to revoke my offer."

Me: "Offer?"

Friend: "Of tickets to Sonny Rollins at the Disney Concert Hall. Somebody else replied first."

I asked on ILE also: anyone have info on a possible upcoming Digable Planets show in L.A.?

tremendoid (tremendoid), Thursday, 17 March 2005 06:16 (twenty years ago)

I just saw a poster for this outside of the Little Temple. The show is maybe April 9th? It's at the El Rey, that part I'm sure about.

Lukas (lukas), Saturday, 26 March 2005 01:15 (twenty years ago)

Damn Lukas, I didn't see your earlier post. I had tickets to the Rollins show that I couldn't use and nobody wanted. I didn't think about finding someone on here. Sorry.

walter kranz (walterkranz), Saturday, 26 March 2005 01:17 (twenty years ago)

GRRR, I have to go to a work function. Go alone anyway and report back! They were *magnificent* at Spaceland last year! The drummer was awesome, and Amy Millan's voice will raise every hair on your body and draw them all towards her.

Digable planets are playing again?

Aw man, I feel really old now. (I saw them in 1993 play at the Coachhouse in south Orange County, CA)
