The "Shins Will Change Yr Life" bloggo is a much better example of how meta-commentary can work, if only because A) it merely quotes "offending" articles & lets the writers state their own case (or shoot their own foot), and B) it pulls from other sources besides P!tchf0rk.

This site started as a joke for my friends. I never guessed so many people would read it or pass it along to others. I don't claim to be a great writer. First and for most I am just a record geek. I won't pretend to be an awesome critic and from some of the comments left on my site, clearly I am not considered as such. Secondly for those of us who work in the indie music world, PFM comes up all day long: in emails, on onesheets, quoted on stickers placed on cds, from customers...seemingly everywhere. It seemed natural to offer a place for friends to collect their thoughts about PFM reviews in one place. I'm sorry you don't like the things I / we have to say and I guess the feeling is sometimes mutual.

Wow, the world has several opinions and different kinds of voices, who knew?

Is it just me or does it seems stupid to have to defend such a small little blog when compared to PFM my site is basically invisible...and rightfully so.
