I wish it was still printed with that cover. All the art for Salinger's work is v. lame now.

it is printed with that cover!

f--gg (gcannon), Friday, 4 March 2005 07:11 (twenty years ago)

is it still the maroon and gold cover these days?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 4 March 2005 07:13 (twenty years ago)

No, it's white with black text and little diagonal rainbow stripe in the corner.

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Friday, 4 March 2005 07:16 (twenty years ago)

i've got that cover. they started re-printing them like that three years ago in hardcover. but i think it's available in paperback now, too.

I saw a new edition of it with that cover. Sometimes I think that about books, because music is SO CORRUPT, but it's still good, which is annoying. I mean like how lots of musicians earn 50 billion dollars or something. It's like actors.

I like how indie musicians earn like 50 bucks a month. It's all they deserve.

Nic de Teardrop (Nicholas), Saturday, 5 March 2005 00:37 (twenty years ago)

doesn't he have some stipulation about no illustrations on his books? that's HARDCORE MAN.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Saturday, 5 March 2005 01:07 (twenty years ago)

Catcher in the Rye is a total sellout book. Franny & Zooey is much better.
