So, there's a programme on about Nevermind

Have we done a thread about a thread about what it means when people talk about music and don't say what you think they should have?

Yeah, I guess we've done one. Shoot me down then. This TV show has meant nothing to me so far. People mythologising stuff to kid on that they were cool once. Whatever. Anyone watchign this stuff, comment. Anyone else, ignore...

i was going to watch it but then i decided it would probably be stuff i've heard a billion times before.

I'd watch if they were doing a different album probably.

six years pass...

I absolutely love this series. Surely if you refuse the fact that some music have more everlasting appeal that other music, well... your loss.

As for the programs, I love how they are going through the original studio tapes with the original producers. That is exactly the kind of detail discussion I love and there is't one program in this series that hasn't made me like the album more after seeing it.

The Screamadelica one certainly reignited my interest in that album.

I have been searching for "classic albums" on Youtube going through a lot of those, and they are really among my favourite rockumentary series ever. The way they draw the essence out of those albums and manage to underline what's great about them - what is unique about the different albums/tracks.
