Someone I know elsewhere said the band sounds like Martina Topley-Bird fronting Spiritualized. Yeah, maybe. But Spiritualized can and will be boring, and the Duke Spirit haven't done that yet.

Anyone else heard the new one, Neptune, yet? They really sound like The Sounds on much of this, I'm not too impressed after first listen.

i really enjoyed that first record, i should definitely have a listen to the later stuff
i have a single from when they (well, some of them) were called solomon, it's good but it's very different to the duke spirit releases

"Love Is An Unfamiliar Name" is the last really good thing they did, and looking upthread I see that happened in 2005 (wow, time flies).
They worked on the last UNKLE record, but Neptune was a bummer, and now there's some kind of Target-exclusive compilation of tracks from the first and second albums that may or may not make some kind of ripple with the masses (my money's on "may not").
