Yeah, same here. Terribly tempting for many reasons -- and you could have mentioned that the blog panel features a number of ILX types, y'know. ;-)

I was gonna...:)Yea, Matos with Dayal, Harvell, Ewing and Smooth. Other ILXers are involved as well I think. Although I gotta be a nitpicky curmudgeon and disagree slightly with part of a quote attributed to Jess(I think, as much as I learn from and enjoy blogs, that Jess overrates their value a tad in suggesting that they cover everything of substance that one needs to know)

Dustmop Calypso also looks interesting as does Rob Tannenbaum on the role of British art schools in creating rock; Keith Harris dissing alt-country; a Velvet Underground multi-media event; Afro-Peruvian devils dance; Ned Sublette on New Orleans; Faux-mo crooners; Houston 'screwed' hiphop; b-boy record anthems....

It's no fair that I have to choose between Grubbs and Cotten Seiler (both hold it down for the Lou KY).

The paper on "Children's Music of Death & Mayhem" sounds like fun!
