Erm...surely their whole career has been a publicity stunt and there's no point getting all concerned about it now? Was it simply a step too far?
Is this the end for the band? Was it an expirement that was always doomed to fail? Has it failed? Do we care?

I don't know what all this means, except maybe that facelessness can actually be a strength because you then have the luxury to build a group personality. Contrast with the Spice Girls, whose personality was so fully-formed from the get-go that their entire career was like a slow slide downwards from that initial highpoint (note: I have no idea of Hear'say's relative level of facefulness/facelessness).

interesting that spicers downplayed from outset their OWN role in control and direction of careers (at least this is what Raw Spice implied): they liked to be seen as mere puppets of management when actually they had aread kicked one management to the kerb by time of 1996 arrival...
