i just heard this band on KEXP and they're polvo-tastic. i need to know more about them. you are the people to tell me.

So, this is an old request, but whatever, right.

Stapleton are from Glasgow. Originally a trio, they added a second guitarist in their later days.. 02/03 maybe.. When I saw them in 2002 they were a trio anyway.

IIRC, their first album was called 'Rebuild the Pier'. I think it's out of print now; they were signed to Subjugation Records for a while but that went defunct. They're now signed to Gravity Records (or at least, their second album and EPs are available through them). Al Paxton was the lead singer, he has a solo record out also on Gravity but I haven't heard it.

Members of Stapleton are in a band called 'Elements of the 70s' also with members of Eska. Eot70s are playing at the brunswick cellars on sauchiehall st tonight, from 830, free entry.

Are Stapleton still going? Al Paxton has a new band anyway I think, can't remember what they're called though. But they're nice, anyway!
